Royal Purple Synergy® is a best-selling synthetic extreme-pressure industrial gear oil designed to provide smooth and reliable lubrication under virtually all operating conditions.
Its advanced formulation combines synthetic base oils, modern gear-oil additive chemistry, and proprietary Synslide™ technology. This noncorrosive extreme-pressure additive protects gears and bearings, including case-hardened gears that may be susceptible to pitting when conventional sulfur-phosphorus EP oils are used.
Synergy provides high film strength and superior protection against heavy loads, shock loads, slow operating speeds, boundary lubrication conditions, and centrifugal forces. It helps gears and bearings operate smoother, quieter, cooler, longer, and more efficiently.
Its excellent oxidation stability extends oil-change intervals and helps keep gearboxes clean. Synergy rapidly separates from water, allowing free water to be drained from the bottom of the reservoir. Its low coefficient of friction can also reduce energy consumption in gearboxes operating under load.
Synergy is compatible with most seals, elastomers, mineral oils, and synthetic oils. It must not be mixed with silicone or glycol-based synthetic fluids.
