Royal Purple Barrier Fluid GT®

Royal Purple Barrier Fluid GT® is a nonreactive synthetic barrier fluid with very low moisture content, engineered to provide superior lubrication and cooling for dual mechanical seals, including tandem and double configurations. Its advanced synthetic formulation helps extend seal life, increase equipment uptime, and reduce the total cost of ownership. Barrier Fluid GT delivers stable seal performance across a wide temperature range, satisfying most seal service requirements while reducing the need for multiple barrier fluid products. Barrier Fluid GT provides 10% to 30% better heat transfer than mineral oil, helping mechanical seals operate at lower temperatures. Its excellent low-temperature fluidity supports reliable cold-weather operation, while its outstanding thermal stability helps prevent carbon seal-face blistering and deposit formation. This inert barrier fluid does not react with most hydrocarbon gases, aqueous acids, or bases and will not poison catalyst systems. It contains no impurities such as vanadium, amines, moisture, or particulates and is manufactured to meet or exceed a typical ISO 4406 cleanliness code of 14/13/11. Barrier Fluid GT is especially recommended for elevated-temperature applications where nitrogen purging is not an option and food-grade purity is not required. It is environmentally responsible, recyclable, and contains no harmful ingredients, EPA-listed Volatile Hazardous Air Pollutants, or Volatile Organic Compounds.
